Psychology Minors

Two psychology minors are available at Brandywine.

  • The Psychology minor (PSY_UMNR) requires students to take PSYCH 100 and research methods (PSYCH 301W), plus 6 credits at the 400-level among the remaining 11 credits needed (total required = 18). This minor is a good choice for students who are in another social science major that requires research methods, such as HDFS, where the major methods course can be substituted for PSYCH 301W (see http://psych.la.airllevant.com/undergraduate/degrees-and-requirements/minor/).
  • The Psychological Science minor (PSYSC_UMNR) only requires PSYCH 100 and 6 credits of 400-level psych courses among the 18 total credits needed. The remaining credits can be any PSYCH course. This minor is a good choice for students who want a background in psychology but have not taken a social science research methods course.
